Skyview (2768), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 19, 2008 Served on draught at the Wisconsin Micro-brewers Beerfest in Chilton, Wisconsin. Pours a slightly orange amber brew with a thin and fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin off-white ring. Aroma of citrus zest, some pine character, grapefruit and just a touch of caramel malt. Taste is medium bodied, more of a sweet citrus zest flavor that hides some of the caramel malt character. Finish has a slight dry vegetable and some citrus aftertaste flavors that quickly disappears. IlanMan (514), Winona, Minnesota, USA May 15, 2008 Pour is medium golden with no head. None of the Fox River brews have a head that I bought. Aroma is of stale hops. Flavor is a bit better with a nice hoppy character with a slight floral note and a little pine. Not a lot going on here. An average IPA that is not worth buying again. Bockyhorsey (1951), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 26, 2006 Tap @ Appleton location. Good standout piney aroma. Darker copper body with thin head. The citrus hop flavor made of for the fact it is a medium bodied brew. Cool and crisp on the palate a good brew. DavidP (1710), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jun 27, 2005 Had a glass of this at the Appleton locaiton. Clear amber body, thin but dense white head. Assertive C-hop flavor. Pine, grapefruit rind, dandelion petals over a roastier-than-usual caramel body. Dark green resinous hops in the aroma. Medium body plus low levels of carbonation make for a good mouthfeel. A suprisingly assertive beer for a brewpub in a mall.
