Fox River Irish Stout

On draught at the northern Appleton brewpub location, pours an opaque dark brown brew with a creamy off-white head that has some excellent retention and plenty of lacing throughout. Aroma of toasted dark multi-grain malt, a touch of molasses, dark chocolate and even some vanilla. Taste is full bodied, light carbonation with flavors of toasted dark malt, some flowery hops and a touch of lactose. Finish has a good balance of dry and semi-sweet aftertaste flavors that slowly disappears after the finish. A solid dark stout overall.
