Fox River The Red of Winter

On draught at the Appleton brewpub location. Pours a clear copper penny amber brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and ring. Also has some spotty lacing. Aroma of toasted caramel malt, some flowery hops and a hint of sweet shoe polish. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation, malty, with some alcohol character. Finish is semi-dry with a caramel malt and flowery hop aftertaste.

Bronze color with a cream colored head. Toasted malt and hint of floral hops in the aroma. Smooth and creamy feel. Caramel malts start that just seems to get stronger through the quaff. Thick and overbearing malt toward the end, which for me is saying something.
