muzzlehatch (4425), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jan 1, 2004 Draft sample, July 02. Decent head, thick and cloudy, powerful lemon-spice (coriander, clove) nose, light and sweet flavors, a little thin, too candyish and weak to finish after a promising start. JPDIPSO (4234), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jul 13, 2005 Hazy straw color with a small white head. Mild citrus and wheat aromas, with just a hint of melon. Flavors of sweet wheat and some mild phenols (mostly bananas). A somewhat typical american attempt at a hefe. DocLock (4102), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 19, 2004 I got to try these beers while on a project in Appleton. The wheat is pretty standard fare, nothing great but worth trying. Fairly complex. badgerben (3074), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 11, 2005 Hazy yellow color with no head. Very ripe banana aroma. The taste of wheat with a bit of lemon floating around. Slightly sweet overall. Typical hef. Ughsmash (3004), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Feb 20, 2006 On tap at F.R. Appleton. Poured a hazy medium amber with only a short head. Aroma was rather weak, but had the expected banana and wheaty notes. Flavor was slightly more pervasive, adding cloves and a stronger banana presence. Fairly nice feel for a hefe... slightly grainy, medium-bodied, and picked up a little astringency toward the back. Not bad.. not really good either.
