Slick (1956), Minnesota, USA Apr 25, 2004 Hazy straw color, small white head that faded quickly but left a small amount of lace behind.Malty wheat aroma with a decent fruit and spice coming through, mild lemon grass and bannana as well.Nice smooth feel with a flavor that was mostly bannana and mild wheat with a mild spice hint coming through towards the end of the tasting. The hops are a bit subdued with the aftertaste being mostly bannana.A bit one sided for the style but over all not bad, would make a nice summer brew.Very refreshing. Thanks to Joeybgood for sending this brew. MIBRomeo (1889), Wisconsin, USA Aug 10, 2008 Cloudy gold pour small white head whisp lace. Lightly sweet aroma of bananna & clove. Pal is avg. Flavor is really nice sweet wheat grains almost honey like with a light strawberry in the finish and a defineate bananna bread note. I think this hefe is pretty darn good. robertsreality (2462), Minnesota, USA Sep 14, 2004 Cloudy Gold Coloring. Small White Head. This Wasn’t Too Bad. A little bit of Spice But More Wheat Coming From This One. Very Good With a Lemon Wedge..Thought it Helped Bring Out Some Banana at The end. esjaygee (808), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 7, 2008 On tap at Fratellos Oshkosh. Unfiltered banana yellow with thin white head. Aroma of banana, yeast and mild clove. Flavor of banana, clove, lemon and mild corn. Finish is a touch corny with some banana and sourness with it. Decent hefeweizen. Blatz King (150), Whitewater, Wisconsin, USA Mar 23, 2004 I got this beer because I live near lake winnebago durning the summer. I had a cold so I couldn't really smell the beer all that well, but I could taste it a little bit. I thought it was ok. It was kind of sweet. I don't know... maybe I would try this again, but I wouldn't buy a sixer or something because I don't have that much money. But if I was in the Fox River mall again I might have another glass on tap, but I wouldn't buy any bottles because I just can't see it getting any better in the bottle. Well i guess I am done now. It's like I always say,"I would rather drink good beer than bad beer."
