IlanMan (472), Winona, Minnesota, USA May 15, 2008 Pour is light golden with no head. Aroma is very floral with some fruity notes. Smell was good but flavor was not. Flavor was floral, a lot of wheat, but had no finish. Carbonation was not right and it was a little bland. The beer was not horrible but could be much better. Won’t buy again.
esjaygee (681), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 7, 2008 On tap at Fratellos Oshkosh. Unfiltered banana yellow with thin white head. Aroma of banana, yeast and mild clove. Flavor of banana, clove, lemon and mild corn. Finish is a touch corny with some banana and sourness with it. Decent hefeweizen. phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 1, 2008 Another dissapointing, misrepresented brew from these guys: Decent golden colour, small head- not the cloudiness one would expect. While the mouthfeel was full, and plenty of fruit flavor it was a bit weak in the wheat department. Aroma was a little stale. Skyview (2641), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Dec 27, 2007 On draught at both brewpub/brewery locations (Appleton and Oshkosh).
Rating base on Appleton version - Pours a semi-hazy pale straw blond brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a thin white ring and lots of carbonation bubbles. Aroma of banana esters, light multi-grain malt, with a touch of citrus zest. Taste is light to medium bodied, lots of carbonation with flavors of multi-grain malt, cloves, some fruity apples/pears and banana esters. Finish is slightly metallic, semi-sweet with a light banana aftertaste. The Oshkosh version is clear blonde color instead of semi-hazy, and has move clove and yeast flavor than the Appleton version. SHANER4 (181), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Sep 15, 2007 On tap at Fratello’s in GB. Poured a hazy light staw color with a medium head. Tasted like fruit and grass mixed with to much yeast feel. Really did not care for this beer. This beer is very light and also watered down.
