| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 3, 2009 (draught) pours clearish brown with ruby hints and nice creamy head. Nose of toasted grain, chocolate and dark fruit. Taste is roasted grains with nice sweet component, unsweetened chocolate that’s not bitter and a creamy toasted finish. This stuff is really good and highly drinkable as it has no off flavors. Franconias best yet. Cavie (1489), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2009 Updated: Nov 4, 2009Special tap at the Gman FW. Dark red cherry pour. Smells mainly of sweet malts. Has some aged fruit like sweet grape or black cherry but only a hint. Taste has an upfront tingle. A dry, chalky feel also fills in the taste. Finish continues the dryness with a tad bit of bitter dark malts. An interesting take on the German bock. Would like the sweetness in the aroma to continue through the taste. Thanks to Matt for letting me try this. Swalden28 (1514), McKinney, Texas, USA

Pours a very nice looking dark brown with red hues and thick, creamy tan head. Aroma of rich malt and honey, caramel and faint toast. Flavor is the exactly the same. Mouth feel is medium-heavy body, a little creamy & silky, with medium carbonation. Overall, a warming, tasty treat from Franconia! Very tasty and different.
