Came to the table hazy golden with a formidable frothy white head. Under the nice, clean straw/citrus-forward nose was the distinct aroma that greets you on any brewery tour- that unmistakable, comforting malty, grain scent. Tasted of summer, of bright floral sweetness (almost wildflower honey). Light bodied, mildly carbonated. Would order again.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Got this on tap into a pint glass at J&J’s pizza in Denton.
Pours like a pale lager but decent 1 finger head and mild lacing. Not much going on here with the smell, but there is sweet pale malt, and coriander. Taste is heavy on lemon, nicely sweet if unbalanced in that direction. Spices like coriander, and maybe spicy cinnamon too. Lingers nicely on the mouth, no bitterness. Carbonation is slightly low, and slightly thin body but overall solid. Very easy to drink, can become slightly cloying though. A recommended kolsch but not in the upper tier of the style.
