May be one of the best American Hefe’s that I have ever had. Very well done. There is a bit of the same sweetness that the Lager had, but much more restrained and much better placed. Good lacing and wonderful spice.

Sep 27, 2008 on tap at a restaurant in downtown mckinney tx. poured a hazy yellow with a white head that diminished pretty quick. aroma of bananas and wheat. flavor was probably the best wheat i have ever had with banana, spice, and some citrus. i had this in a mexican restuarant and was very surprised by how good this was.

Sep 17, 2008 On tap at the Old Monk in Dallas. Nice hazy yellow pour with a small white head. Nose of bananas, fruit, spices, yeast and wheat. Full body and flavoring-need I say it comes close to Live Oak??? Very nice beer and one of the best domestic hefe’s I’ve had.

Sep 14, 2008 Pale golden color. Aroma of yeast and malts. Flavor of grain with nice muted spiciness and some clove. Decent beer for the metroplex!

Sep 1, 2008 murky yellow pour with a ring of white froth. yeast on the nose but not much of anything else. easy on the palate with a nice clove flavor that wasn’t too overpowering.

Aug 30, 2008 On Tap. Pours with a hazy ornage body. Smallish, thick off-white head. Aroma of banana esters, clove, vanilla and some vinegar. Taste is vanilla, banana and some caramel. Syrupy full mouthfeel with light carbonation. Solid hefe.
