This looked like it came from a wooden cask. However iv noticed someplaces have a keg wrapped in wood. Aroma is lightly bready malts. Taste has bread maybe honey and not too much bittering hops, however a little bland from all fronts.

This beer has a amber body - hue apperance and a fine white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a not much carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is sweet with a light bitter afther tast.

Bottle, from York Beer Shop. Copper bronze, good lasting white head and moderate condition. Low fruity caramel aromas, full bodied and malty in the mouth with caramel and burnt toffee offset by a little citric grapefruity hop note. Gentle roast barley and caramel in the finish balanced by a prickle of hop bitterness.

Bottle: Amber coloured with reddish tints, medium sized, quite stable fluffy off-white head; fruity-malty-caramelly nose with a tinge of molasses; mild sweetish-malty flavour with an illusion of roasted malt; slightly sweet-malty finish with a moderate bitter aftertaste: Drinkable, but pretty bland and boring, in comparison to the Düsseldorf micros.......

Predominant malt profile: sweet caramel and toffee with some breadiness. Nice light hop bittering in the finish. A refreshing change of pace.

Pours brown/red with thick tan head that fades quickly. Thick malty aroma. Same in the flavor, with a good amount of hop bitterness as well. Caramel/munich malts. Pretty nice.

I love the German ales...this alt is very authentic and tastey for a high volume brewer. Poured a lovely deep chestnut color with red highlights. Nice frothy tan cap stacks out of the stein and lasted...great lacing on the glass. Aromas of sweet malts and herbal hops, slight mustiness. Starts sharp/dry then mellows on the palate as the sweet malts and alt yeast produces a sweet-nutty-bready taste... then the finish becomes drying with the herbal German hops providing a medicinal bittering in the finish...all in all a very nice commercial Alt from the home of Altbeir... Dusseldorf
