| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 23, 2005 bottled; incredibly malty, hints of chocolate, raisins, nuts. A bit lacking in the hops depertmant, reminds me more of a dunkel than an altbier, ruffian (149), montvale, New Jersey, USA

Rich malty Alt. Hints of dark raisin like fruit, but not overly asserted. A little hop bitterness to balandce. No hop flavor or aroma to speak of. Usual dark amber Alt color under a white head. Thick body, this is not a thin beer. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 6, 2005 Nice dark orangeish brown color. Great head. Medium malt nose, semi hoppy with a good balalnce between the malt and hops. Semi bitter could use a few more hops for this style. This cold have been light affected. But overall was a great beer. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 10, 2005 Bottle. Sweetish, brown sugar aroma. Clear, dark brown colour. Big, stable, rocky head. Malty and roasted flavour. Astringent, tannin-like aftertaste. Pailhead (2605), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 1, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Aroma is chocolate with a tart fruitiness. Pours a very dark orangish-brown with slight transparency and a small tan head. Lots of caramel in the flavor with a touch of chocolate. Nuttiness in the finish. The fruity tartness is pretty light, lingers in the background, and seems to throw things a little off even if it is light. The slight tartness just doesn’t work for me when combined with the other flavors. Dixen (1465), Flagstaff, Arizona, USA
