This pours a dark/medium brown that is transparent around the edges. The head is small and diminishing. The nose is very much of dirty cranberries. This beer is more malty than hoppy, and there’s just a bit of bitterness and dryness that lingers on the palate. The tastes are somewhat of caramel, grains, and perhaps roasted nuts and plumbs. These are all dirty and musky tastes. This is only a decent brew overall, but I know little of the style.

Red orange color, thin head, very little lacing. This beer has the aroma of honey, clover, and something metalic.

Clear brown pour with a nice creamy head. Light malt aroma. Flavor is a little hoppy with malt and caramel notes, nutty with a slightly bitter finish. Nothing spectacular here, but its pleasant and has a good flavor. Says German Brown Ale on the label and thats what it tastes like.. a brown ale. My first Alt so I dont have much to go on. Fairly good.

A chestnut coloured beer with a reasonable tan head. The aroma is smoky with burnt toast and egg. The taste has brown bread, nuts and prunes. Interesting and not very welcoming but quite pleasant.

This beer was quite impressive. It has a very present taste which is a bit milder then a pale ale. Pretty good stuff. It goes well if you have it before hefeweizens.

Poured a medium brown with a quick to fade head. I was hard pressed to pick up any aromas. Maybe some malt, caramel. The palate was crisp and nicely carbonated with not much in the way of flavour, light malt and some caramel and a slight cardboard taste in the finish. Stil an o.k. beer but nothing special.

Typical Alt. But a tad too boring, flat and too watery to be somehow exciting. Drinkable, though.

Pours light brown with reddish hues, with a large off-white head. Aroma is rather thin and carries a predominant nutty character. Taste is nutty and earthy, with a moderate hops presence and almost no malt sweetness. I don’t know much about the style, but for a beer in general this one is rather thin.
