| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 19, 2009 50cl bottle poured into an altbier glass. Pours clear amber brown with quickly diminishing two finger head. Nose is raspberries in the beginning. Once the head dissipates, the aroma nearly disappears completely. Flavor is earthy, wood-like, and sort of roasty. Palate is a bit fizzy yet still smooth. Finish is long and hoppy. This is my first altbier and I didn’t know what to expect. I thought it was going to be overly bitter. Although it is quite hoppy, I am pleasantly suprised by its drinkability. faroeviking (6125), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
