Sweet mild malty aroma with yeast and mild pleasant hoppiness. Clear dark brown with pillowy white large bubbled head that lasts nicely. Some lace. Lightly malty, slight charcoal finish. Fair biterness. Nicely balanced. Refreshing light body. Bottle (at Berlin restaurant).

Nice reddish-amber appearance with a large white head. Yeasty, slightly sweet, slightly floral. You could down a few of these and could have them with almost anything.

Deep brown color with a nice white head. Sweet malt aroma. Sweet flavor cut short but just a bit of hop flavor. Easy drinking beer.

Nutty, dry (astringent) taste. Brown in color. The aroma is vague, but is of hops. Be sure yours is fresh.

Re-rate: Accidentally bought this a second time. It was in a box and not skunked. Aroma of bubblegum, apple and some slight citrus. Taste is smooth with caramel and a little yeast. Tasty. Original rating. Poured with a large soapy head. The aroma was slightly skunked with some apple. The color was dark brown with some red tints. Taste was unremarkable. I may have had a bad bottle, but nothing made me want to come back to this.

This is the Ale of all Ales. It's like finding a new girlfriend. She's all you want. The Irish Pub in Ybor City, FL. has this masterpiece on tap.

Pours nicely with a cascade of pleasingly sweet scent, and thin head that sticks around for a while. However, the second smell is not as nice, has definite mustiness that is hard to deny, it actually smells like pork... Appears to be similar to other Altbier's in color and texture. Rather thin mouthfeel, this could definately be improved upon. Tastes odd, definately bitter and has a nice crisp finish. Malty.
