Dec 20, 2008 I had this one with Oldrtybastrd. Impressed with the brown color and the time it stood with the frothy head and lacing. The aroma was molasses and bread. The taste was definitely molasses with a sweet to malty finish.

Dec 12, 2008 tolles Aussehen, stabiler Schaum. Schon im Antrunk wird klar, dass das Frankenheim Alt relativ herb ist, aber keineswegs unangenehm. Angenehmes Bier, welches ich noch aus einem Tauch von vor längerer Zeit habe, ich glaube von Kölschtrinker - danke!

Dec 1, 2008 Updated: Jan 31, 2009The color is a deep cola brown with slight opacity. Tan head with a bit of lace. Not much intensity to the nose, yet it is distinctly malty. A smooth hoppy taste, followed by bready pretzel notes and a delayed dry, salty, malty finish. Medium body with a little extra carbonation.

Oct 23, 2008 Bottle. Dark amber with large head. Fizzy with moderat malt. Taste sweet with flavor of caramel and bakery and a hint of citrus.

Oct 13, 2008 A dark amber colored beer, with a off white head. The aroma caramel malts, some fruits and bread. The taste of fruity chocolate white some spices and bitter hops. The after taste is also bitter and dry. A good alt beer.
