Draught. At Cole’s, Buffalo, NY. Clear ruby-black with a small off-white head. Dry roasty coffee aroma, prune and light caramel malt, maybe some vague dry hops in the mix. Dry taste too, roasted coffee beans, green peaches and dry floral hops. Light, sticky body, nice bit of astringency, weak carbonation and a very quick finish - slight bitter roasty linger. Went down easy.

[602-20070909] Tap @ Cole’s (Buffalo, NY). Coffee malt aroma. Dark brown black body with a medium-lasting creamy tan head. Super coffee malt flavour with a touch of bitter roast. Full body is a little grainy. Nice coffee beer but wasn’t really in the mood.

draft- coffee chocalte dominate this brew. Not much in the aroma department, which detracts here. I find black lagers often fall short w aroma, but the flavor was nice so I was not that bothered about it. Would try again.

12 oz bottle poured into a lager glass. Pours dark brown, almost black with a average size light brown fizzy head that shrinks a little but leaving fair lacing. The aroma is of molasses also with a metallic aroma. Taking a drink the flavor is of molasses up front, followed by a slight metallic taste which leads up to a slightly bitter finish in the end. The body is light to medium with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall I am not to impressed. The flavor is real nice, but once you get the metallic finish it is not to enjoyable.

Draft at Coles in Buffalo. Black body with a small tan head and nice lacing on the glass. (3+) Moderately roasty mocha aroma. (6+) Roasty toasty malt up front in the flavour, sweet mocha, moderate bitterness is more from the roast than any perceptible hops (6+). Average palate. Well crafted but not really up my alley.

Pours very dark with very little head that disappears almost instantly. Deep roasted malt, slightly bitter with a hint of coffee. Alcohol is undetectable. Easy to drink, but thin in body. I do not expect bo buy it again.
