A very good dark. I wish it was available at more than just the Bavarian Inn. I guess I will have to come back more often to enjoy this dark.

This brew poured a medium head of light brown bubbles and an opaque black body. It had a malty aroma, a smooth taste and mild roasted flavor. It was a very drinkable brew.

Dark dark brown with some head and nice lacing. Strong burnt coffee flavor dominates with a nice bitterness to the aftertaste. I quite enjoyed it with my chicken dinner!

Had this on tap at The Post in Auburn Hills. Pours a flat greyish-brown with some lighter browns on the edges. Big creamy off-white head. Aroma is lightly sweet of dark maple syrup with some very dry roasty flavors that almost give it a hickory smell. Opens up with the typical smoothness of Local Color beers. Hardly any carbonation, very soft and creamy. There is a bittersweet flavor that plays on the palate from the roast. Finish is very chewy and surprisingly complex. Maple, bitter molasses, and a slightly winey sweet roast flavor. Good medium body. 2nd Local Color Brew I’ve tried, and I’m very impressed.

draft- coffee chocalte dominate this brew. Not much in the aroma department, which detracts here. I find black lagers often fall short w aroma, but the flavor was nice so I was not that bothered about it. Would try again.

Cola brown with a medium sized tan head. Malty, woody aroma. Roasty and sweet with a medium body. Refreshing and much better than expected!
