7-22-06 MBG. Cloudy golden deecent off-white head. Huge banana aroma hints of clove and I guessed cinnamon, but according to description it’s nutmeg. Flavor much the same, subdued, flattens out at times. Tad more carbonation would help a bunch. As is pretty sessionable hefe.

The pour reveals a hazy blonde color with a thin white head. Very decent aroma and flavor of cloves, nutmeg, bananas and bubble-gum. The palate is light and oily and the carbonation is lively.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of bubbles that were and left behind a very hazy no visible carbonation dark yellow colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was malty banana and fruity. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of malt fruity banana wheat yeast and mild dough. A decent brew that I would consider buying again.

Sample at the brewpub (no lemon requested or offered): This beer pours a somewhat cloudy yellow color with a medium thin white head and very little lacing. Aroma of wheat and cloves. Light, clean body with equal parts wheat and banana flavor, albeit not in great amounts. The finish is clean and a little watery, with a wheaty flavor and a light clove aftertaste. Above average, but could be better.

Draft at Frankenmuth Brewery. Served with a slice of lemon. The above description says "Served with a lemon upon request". I did not request a lemon and there was one on my glass. This was brought to the attention of the waitress for future reference. Poured a small white head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, cloudy, and no visible carbonation. Banana, spicy, sweet, and clove nose. Flavor was spicy, clove and a banana presence. Tingly mouthfeel. Light body. For this style, the aroma was way too subtle and somewhat boring.

On Tap at the brewpub My 500th Beer! Cloudy orange yellow pour, with a light golden fringe. Thin slimy rim of white head. Very light clove and ester aroma. Flavor is an extremely bright, sweet and fresh clean crisp wheat. Very well built and refreshing. Finishes with a light touch of honey and hop sugars. A little thin.

Probably my favourite from the Frankenmuth sampler I had. Served with a lemon wedge, and sampled with and without. This beer has some very nice solid flavour, but isn’t overpowering with its spice and intensity. It was refreshing, crisp, sweet and spicy. There was good citrus aroma, smooth wheat flavours, and the lemon was a very nice compliment. Well done.
