Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head,. Weak aroma of caramel and hops. The flavor has a more powerfull dose of hops and caramel but it’s still not up to the usual APA standards, it finishes with some bitterness and an unpleasant metallic feeling. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and lively carbonation.

This draft brew from the brew pub poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a transparent yellow colored body and a fair lacing. . The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again. But where did that hoppy taste come from without the hoppy aroma?

Sample at the brewpub: Amber/gold color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates rapidly, and thin patchy lacing. Citrusy hops aroma. Medium-bodied with a brewpub-generic hops flavor and a touch of malt here and there. The finish is moderately bitter but again the hops don’t really set themselves apart in any way. Drinkable, yet lacking overall.

Draft at Frankenmuth Brewery. Appearance was a small off-white head that mostly diminished, fair quantity of lacing, no visible lacing, transparent, and a yellow hue. Light hoppy pine aroma. Flavor seemed to be all hops. Hoppy mouthfeel. Light-medium body. Definitely lacks much character even for an APA.

I guess this is about as close as my sampler came to having an IPA in it. Its not bad, definitely more character than many of the beers sampled, but it still lacks any overwhelming characteristics. Nice hop touch, good mouth feel, pretty high carbonation however.

Tasted as part of sampler on brewery tour. Tied with dark lager for my least favorite. Nondescript appearance, average head and golden color. Fairly bitter, but not what I would have expected from an APA.
