Nov 15, 2004 In a sampler at the brewery. Clear amber brown colorwith an off white head. Initially no aroma, but as it warmed up I picked up mild spicey yeast and toasted malt. The flavor is smooth malty sweetness, more caramel than roasted, mild bitterness and spicey yeast. This is a malty beer with a decent mouthfeel. The laid back flavors on this beer make it highly drinkable, I’d recommend a growler of it over the fancy bottle!

May 1, 2006 2004 Bottle thanks to BBB63: Copper pour a little hazy. Kind of bready with some raisins. Floral hops for sure. The malts were well done, and this had a nice dry finish.

Apr 30, 2006 Bottle # 644 of 2004 and shared with the group at the Friday night party, thanks Steve: Brandy hued with a lasting top and very good lace, small floaties. The aroma has notes of grape, cinnamon, spruce, clove, floral hops, roasted and toffee malts, and quite aromatic.
nice flowery tones on top of the bready and sweet malt overtone. Some apple and pear tones prior to the lightly spiced finish. The mouth feel is smooth and lively with a dry finish.
Pretty good stuff that held up with aging, surprising as I really enjoyed it. A beautiful bottle by the way.

Feb 6, 2005 from the bottle. poured a amber with a small off white head. aroma had to wait for this beer to warm up for the aromas to come out on this one, hints of roasted malts, toffee, and some caramels. flavor weak malts, carmels, hops, and toffee. this sure was over priced, $12.00 was to much to spend even though the bottle and label are nice.

May 8, 2006 Bottle # 644/2004: Clear amber color with a fluffy off-white head. Caramel malty aroma with light paper notes. Light fruity notes. Dry malty flavor. Thins out some on the finish.

Dec 5, 2004 Tap. Deep amber to brown color. Off-white head. malty aroma with floral hops. Light to medium bodied. Malt is predominant flavor. Dry finish. Hoppy flavors come out in the end also.
