acrdz (4361), Boulder, Colorado, USA Apr 2, 2008 Hazy, cloudy hefeweizen yellow appearance. Stale mildew, wet blanket, grain and wheat germ nose, similar flavor, but toned down somewhat, making it drinkable. Chewy, lightly dry, but certainly not crisp.
Juuuuuuuuuust a bit off from true kölsch, I would say.
/sarcasm badlizard (1519), San Diego, California, USA Dec 1, 2007 Tasted at brewery. Hazy yellow with no head. Faint bready aroma. Bready slightly citrus taste with a crisp clean finish. CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 2, 2007 Pours a hazy pale golden with a thin, wispy white head. Slightly grainy pale malty aroma has a touch of noble hops. Body starts fairly thin and fizzy with a drier pale maltiness, a touch of wheat and mild citrus before a dry finish. Needs more fruity esters and a warmer fermentation temperature to be truer to style. bluesman42@gmailcom (43), Arkansas, USA Jan 11, 2007 This seemed to me to be the epitome of American Piss-Beer. There were no major flavors, the head was gone in seconds, it had the consistency of water, etc. This was not worth the time it took to try. If you want to try this on your own, just drop a hop into a Miller Lite for a few minutes, and drink that. beaconstreet (810), Washington DC, USA Nov 13, 2006 One of the Kolschiest Kolsches I’ve had in the USA. But it doesn’t mean it’s perfect. More metal than needed in the flavor, the Kolsch needs to make your tounge feel like it just took flight.
