Apr 2, 2009 50cl bottle. Best before 2009-08. It poured an orange colour with a big creamy off-white head that settled down fast in the glass leaving a thin white roof-top. The aroma is sweet with notes of dark malts, yeast, apples and bananas. The flavour is unfortunately not as good as the aroma. It’s a bit flat with notes of malts, bananas and sweet caramel. It has a short aftertaste.

Apr 2, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown pour of a small head. Notes of dark fruits, caramel, yeast and bananas. Taste had a little bit of malt, some dust, light yeast, sweet vanilla and banana.

Apr 1, 2009 Bottle. Pours with an off-white froth over a hazed hazelnut brown body. Aroma of banana, spice, clove, toffee and chocolate. Taste is a bit oxidized, with cardboard, nutty malts, banana esters, clove and CO2. Very fizzy.

Mar 28, 2009 Dark amber-brown with some floating yeast and a creamy white head. Aroma of some bananas, fair amount of lactic acid, and some pretzel dough. Taste is on the malty side, not as much banana as you get in the regular Franziskaner. OK but not my favorite weissbeir from this brewer.

Mar 28, 2009 On tap at the Bavarian Bier Cafe in Sydney. A cloudy brown beer with a moderate off white head. Toffee malt aromas predominate. Full bodied with a vibrant mouthfeel and caramel-wheat malt flavours. The finish is quite sweet. Not bad at all.

Mar 22, 2009 16.9 oz bottle. Earthy aroma with hints of spices and fruit. Dark amber with a long lasting thick beige head. Medium sweetness, lightly sour.Medium body, soft carbonation, and a long sweet finish. This is a very smooth beer that has a nice sweet finish but not overly sweet.

Mar 21, 2009 0.5L bottle, small quickly diminishing head, murky light brown colour with yellow taints, strong carbonation. Not really too apealing but maybe what a dunkelweizen usually looks like, Sour wheaty aroma with with some spicy cinamon notes and a whiff of smoke. Mellow fruity sweetness suprisingly turning into a dry appely flavour which also dominates the finish.
