Commercial Description:
Deep and dark colored, cloudy with yeast. Brewed with a darker roasted malt which adds some maltiness to the refreshing flavour of the Hefe-Weissbier.

Pours quite dark brown with full opacity. A full creamy tan head emerges and although it fades quickly, a film of foam persists throughout consumption. Lace is heavy upon a drink, then falls quickly. A fairly light scent gives off a fresh banana tone. The taste is pleasant and not very overpowering, and body is medium light. Flavor indeed quite similar to the scent, with a nice banana taste and some fresh sourdough bread connotations. Finish is light and sour.

Pours a hazy dark amber with a perfect, fluffy off-white head that sticks around. Aroma of dark fruits, yeast, and cloves. Taste is strange. Begins like normal Franziskaner with some higher than average bubbliness and banana notes but then turns a light sour with a somewhat watery, bland aftertaste. No lacing. Strange that this is the dark version of Franziskaner but is more watery and muted than the normal hefeweisen.

Bottle. Poured deep teak with thick white head. Citrusy aroma with a bit of fresh baked bread. Full flavour, like very good freshly baked bread, with a fine hop bite. Lekker balanced finish.

Aroma - sour rye, sweet, banana Appearance - cloudy caramel, off-white head with some white lacing flavor - dry, slightly sour, like a Belgian wit palate - thin, lingering sourness overall - not bad, but not something I’ll try again

The color is a medium red/brown, with a strong hop smell, the smell of the grains/wheat really come through as well. The hop flavor was too strong for my personal taste, and it was a little too carbonated.

Red-brown body with quickly disappearing white head. Malty and wheaty flavor with some extra carbonation.

The aroma is strongly wheat, banana, spicy cloves. Its appearance is a nice dark brown, hazy, large off-white head. Wheaty, spicy flavor, with notes of bitter chocolate. The carbonation, and a slight hoppiness dominate the palate. Ok for the style.
