Commercial Description:
Deep and dark colored, cloudy with yeast. Brewed with a darker roasted malt which adds some maltiness to the refreshing flavour of the Hefe-Weissbier.

Bottle. Pours light brown with a small head. The aroma is light cream and hefe. The flavor is some hefe, a bit of banana, but also some roastiness and a touch of sour. A solid dose of metal in this one too. Lots of carbonation.

Draft at Edel-Weiss in Norridge. Pours a pale brown, darker than the normal hefe but still somewhat pale for a Dunkelweizen. Nose is spicy and cloves/bananas dominate. Taste is pretty well balanced, mildly roasty and distinct Bavarian flavors of wheat bread and spice and a slight tartness in the middle. Very nice one, actually.

bottle - pours light mahogany with a light brown 3 finger frothy, head. Spicy citrus aroma, with a doughy apricot-apple flavor with a hint of tobacco, light hoppy finish with a slighly acidic undertone that evens it out.

Bottle. Hazy dark with a large head. The flavor is slightly acidic with caramel, malt and yeast. No banana in aroma or flavor. Did found some pepper and maybe a little cinnamon. A pleasant and easy to drink dunkelweisen.
