Thank God for hefeweisens. This one’s my favorite I’ve had thus far. You can keep the head down if you pour it right. It’s EXTREMELY smooth with a solid finish. It’s sweet and tasty! I spent 7 weeks in Germany a year ago and gained 15 pounds thanks to drinking 6 cases of this stuff. I love a meal in a bottle. This one is worth it! zappafan99 (462), South Carolina, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 27, 2008 Very nice. Aroma has that banana, bubble gum smell w/ some malt as well. It has a very pleasant brownish color, with a nice white head. It tastes similar to traditional Hefe, but with both a fuller body and a deeper maltier taste. It’s not quite the same, not as smooth not quite as refreshing as Franziskaner Helles. Good nonetheless. austone (1039), Turku; Pori, Finland
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2008 Murky orangey brown, basic off-white head. Wheaty nose, ripe banana and little clove. Flavor has strong banana, wheat and spices. Wheat and a bit cellary finish. Medium bodied, strongly carbonated palate. Good honest dunkel. knights97 (83), Tennessee, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2008 Updated: Jun 9, 2008This is pretty nice for a dunkelweizen. Light brownish amber, it has a big fizzy, light tanhead that steadily shrinks to a thin top and it’s slightly hazy. The aroma is cloves, bananas, yeasty sourdough, and raisins. The taste is lightly tart, wheaty, with banana mostly on the edge of the mouth and in a perfumy quality. It’s dryish and lightly zesty with a light mineral quality and slightly watery feel. There is a long grain aftertaste, a light banana-bread quality, and it’s rather crisp and refreshing, but still not really my style.
