while the aroma is a better than average, it’s a nice dark brown body, moderate at that and malty, very smooth and easy to drink, more of an enjoyment beer,

This is pretty nice for a dunkelweizen. Light brownish amber, it has a big fizzy, light tanhead that steadily shrinks to a thin top and it’s slightly hazy. The aroma is cloves, bananas, yeasty sourdough, and raisins. The taste is lightly tart, wheaty, with banana mostly on the edge of the mouth and in a perfumy quality. It’s dryish and lightly zesty with a light mineral quality and slightly watery feel. There is a long grain aftertaste, a light banana-bread quality, and it’s rather crisp and refreshing, but still not really my style.

A very murky brown with a thin laceless head. Smell is great with the most prevalent being banana, spices, and bread. Taste is like banana bread. Mouthfeel is very good finish is smooth with lively carbonation.

large bottle. Pours a pale grayish brown, but settles in glass as a murky light brown apricot. Rocky cream head. Smells of chocolate malt, fruit, and yeast. Upon sipping, the heavy carbonation initially veils the flavors, but as this subsides grassy notes come forth along with caramel malt. Given the intensity of flavor present in Franziskaner’s Weisse beer, I was surprised at how weak this beer was by comparison. It just seemed like the wonderful aromas that I noted came up quite empty in the body. Still, certainly quite drinkable. 8 3 6 3 15 3.2

Pours a cloudy brown with a moderate head and nice lacing. Nose of malts with earthy notes. Taste of fruit with coffee and caramel notes. Short bitter/sweet finish.
