Mar 31, 2007 Updated: Nov 17, 2007This beer looks like a typical hefe-weisse, only darker. Aroma is heavenly, with fruits, spices, yeast, and chocolate malt all present. Flavor is much the same. This is somewhat bitter up front. Well carbonated. Dry finish. Not my favorite, but a great wheat nonetheless.

Mar 25, 2007 Poured in a weizen; a murky, orange tinted brown. Large creamy off white head. Aroma of yeast/bubblegum, banana, clove, some malt; maybe a little soapy. Flavor was much of the same, but with a pronounced roasted malt. Refreshing flavor, crisp; perhaps a little watery. Good value.

Mar 23, 2007 A great beer, this dunkelweizen has a great aroma of wheat and malt. For a malt fan, this is a good beer. It creates a nice off- white head, amber in color, you smell nuts and get a fruit aftertaste. Basically an excellent wheat beer with a little more flavor.

Mar 22, 2007 Just as the blonde one, be careful when pouring this, or you’ll have just a lot of foam. Creamy a bit brownish head, with lot of chunks that go straight to the bottom of the glass, with very long retention, but it doesn’t leave lace. Cloudy dark orange colour. Aroma is similar to the blonde, banana, clove, peaches, but with a hint of chocolate, specially if you pour the sediment, and hints of dark fruits. A bit of sweet fruity flavor, taste is similar to the aroma, banana, cloves, peaches, chocolate, dark fruits... and some coriander. Not very strong body, very refreshing and drinkable.

Mar 21, 2007 Draft. Pours dark orange with a large white head. Smell is clove, yeast, banana. Taste is that normal hefe taste but a bit watery. Refreshing and crisp, lacking flavor. Ordinary but good.

Mar 18, 2007 Bottle. Head was large frothy white and was mostly lasting. Good lacing in glass. Body was light cloudy with partials in flow. Color was golden brown. Aroma was wheat, citrus, clove, coriander, banana, caramel. For some reason I felt that some of the malty notes were kind of missing from this Dunkelweizen Light to medium bodied and an average carbonation. Light sweet finish.
