johnnygm (38), Santiago, Chile Mar 15, 2009 Not too different from other weizen beers. Nice soft and sweet aroma, bananas and some citrics. It’s really refreshing, and you can still enjoy the aroma and flavors while it’s still cold. SaintMatty (1195), Tallinn, Estonia Mar 14, 2009 500ml Bottle - Hazy gold/amber in colour. Yeasty and slightly spicy aroma with hints of banana and lemon. Clean tasting with banana, wheat and some sweet and slightly spicy elements. Very refreshing and a good quality beer. Ljunkan (379), Karlstad, Sweden Mar 13, 2009 Bottle. Hazy yellow color with a nice white remaining head. Aroma is typical spicy with clove, yeast and some light banana notes. Flavour is spicy and lighlty fruity with banana, clove, a light acidity and citrus. Medium carbonated beer with a slightly thin mouthfeel. Very drinkable Hefeweizen, it got what you can expect from the style and it’s also pretty much how I remembered it. Recommended for those hot, sunny summerdays ... Smaskifa (56), Oslo, Norway Mar 12, 2009 Tap. Looks great, foggy yellow and a decent lasting white head. Medium carbonation and light feel in the mouth. Aroma of banana, citrus and some hops. Fresh taste of fruits, orange peel, wheat malts, some acid, and slightly hoppy finish. Cavie (1299), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Mar 8, 2009 Was probably a good hefe but I have no taste for them. Had nice floral/wheat notes. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Mar 7, 2009 Nice color, warm orange. Taste is sweet up front, kind of straw like malty ness. Finish gets a little bit blah, with malts tasting like cheap beer. Nebulor (109), , California, USA Mar 7, 2009 Not a significant smell with some banana and caramel malt with some esters.
Pours a hazy blond color with a nutmeg hue in the center with a frothy white head and lots of carb action.
Grainy malt taste, sort of bland, with some hop esters.
Light bodied, dry slightly watery, soft and lively carbonation, and a smooth metallic finish.
Just a bland taste compared to the other great hefewiezens from Germany. Gary (352), Buckinghamshire, England Mar 7, 2009 Good’un.Great bottle with boozey monk.Nice firm malt flavours.Ovbiously wheaty. Its dry ,clovey and spicy.I dig it.
