| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2008 Draft. Really a great hazy yellow-orange in color. Nice, tight head. Some lacing. Dense-looking. Aromas are banana and very light spice -- heavier on the yeast. Creamy on the palate. Lots of yeast again, with a fine complement of banana and apricot. Slightly thin on the finish. Wheat, banana nose. Bitter and wheaty, slightly yeasty sherbert. Mouth is banana milkshake, some bitterness. Pretty watery end. Quenching and refreshing. jimig (23), , Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Poured from a 500ml foil-topped bottle and served in a weizen glass. This hefe poured a hazy, darker golden hue with a thick head of fluffy off-white foam. Excellent retention throughout the glass. Some slippery lacing was left behind. The aroma of the beer consisted of fresh bananas, wheat, light citrus, and a light clove spiciness. The fruitiness took a back seat in the flavor. A healthy dose of spicy yeast and clove was followed up by mild notes of banana, creamy wheat, and a touch of orange and lemon zest. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and softly carbonated. Very smooth and highly drinkable. A nice example of the style. pacaus (49), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 17, 2008 Definitely one of the better Hefe-Weizen beers. Nice aroma and taste of wheat and fruit. I would rank it towards the top but definitely would prefer a Weinstephaner.
