Pear, banana, apple and yeast tasted on my palate. Buttery finish smooth as glass. Truly a world class brew that I will drink again.............and again...............and again. Cloudy yellow colour with a big white head; looked quite enticing....or was that the fit barmaid? Mild lemony aroma. Banana, clove, yeast and citrus in the flavour. Typical of the style and one of the better exponents. Was getting bored on the second one though. rampmaster (318), Alden, New York, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 16.9oz bottle into a weizen glass.
Appearance: It pours very cloudy and has a wonderful orangey yellow golden color with a big creamy white head. The head has great retention and makes nice lacing.
Smell: The aroma has earthy/fruity yeast character with notes of banana, clove and lemony citrus.
Taste/Mouth feel: Its flavor has a smooth creamy malty wheat flavor with a big earthy yeast influence. There are notes of banana and clove with some light hints citrus and hops. It all finishes with dry dusty yeast and very mild hops with citrusy lemon flavors.
Its carbonation is soft but active with a smooth and slightly slick texture in its medium body.
Notes: Overall it’s very refreshing and drinkable with all the wonderful flavors you expect in a good hefe-weizen.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2008 Sweet aroma of banana and clove with a hint of vanilla. Smooth creamy mouthfeel and taste of banana, wheat, and spices, with no hoppy taste at all. If you can get this unpasteurized (i.e. in Germany), you will find that the spices are much more apparent than they are post-pasteurization. Even from the bottle, however..."Es ist sehr schmeckt!"
