FishManLA (284), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Jun 1, 2008 Pours a cloudy gold color with a medium-large head with fairly good persistance. Potent yeasty nose with malty and fruity notes. Taste is of banana and apple with a slight tartness. Tart apple-like finish. WesKBob (317), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA May 27, 2008 Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is light malt and green hops. Flavor is wheaty with hints of banana, clove and citrus. Not my favorite but a nice, refreshing beer nonetheless. janir (215), Oulu, Finland May 27, 2008 Hazy orange color. Big head is white, cloudy and long lasting. Aroma is yeasty and banana-like. Flavor is wheaty, banana-like and sour in the end. Light-bodied, smoothly carbonated palate. Very refreshing hefeweizen. lithilorn (169), Covilhã, Portugal May 25, 2008 Dark cloody gold body, white head. banana and spicy flavor. Sweet and little bitter in the palate. A good beer for me. jthg (66), Austin, Texas, USA May 25, 2008 1. Gorgeous - cloudy golden. Just says drink me all day long! This beer is pure business, party business.
2. Awesome yeasty, banana-y, sweet aroma! But, not too yeasty, banana-y, or sweet! It is in your face, but not steppin’.
3. When it hits your lips, it is sooo good!
4. As I write this beer review, I need a new pint.
5. Some people on RateBeer love it, but only rate it a 2.9. Give this beer some love. Please!
6. If I was stuck on an island with only one beer, it would be this one. I would gladly drink myself to death with this beer! And, since it has yeast in suspension it would easily keep me healthy for 200 years. Minimum. Don’t underestimate the bower of B12!
7. The taste is really smooth - not bitter or malty. Just smooth. Typically smoothness in a beer comes from vanilla or oak. Not for this beer! :)
8. Delicious is the understatement of the year for this beer!
9. This is the only keg we have ever gotten that required a new european adapter. (we have gotten A LOT of kegs over the years!) And, it was a 13.2 gallon keg! ---an unusual volume for a unusually tasty brew!
10. Why stop at 9? pepsican (884), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA May 24, 2008 hazy orange with a thin white head. Aroma is orange and spice. Flavor is up front banana and clove, some grass, earth, bubblegum, and lemon. Finishes slightly sweet, very refreshing. Stew41 (1042), Caulfield, Australia May 20, 2008 Hard not to like. Dead clean style that shows the necessary bubblegum sweetness and clove spiciness that is key to the genre. Some excess fizz takes the edge off the flavour.About 1yr to run on the BB so another example of how fresh is best. BartC (398), Lichtaart, Belgium May 19, 2008 Hazy gold colored beer with a neverendng creamy white head. Aroma of sweet malts, slightly fruity. Fruity flavor and notes of vanilla.
