Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Apr 26, 2008 On Tap at Bavarian Grill, Plano, TX.
Poured a gorgeous cloudy yellow-orange with fluffy white head with excellent retention. Strong aroma of bannana that is dominate. Flavor has mostly bannana present with hints of clove with citris notes....Palate was light-medium mouthfeel, almost watery with medium carbonation..........good heff though.... satan165 (540), River Grove, Illinois, USA Apr 25, 2008 Updated: May 29, 2008probably my favorite all time session beer. complexities are at a minimum, and weizen stereotypes are at a maximum. still, this is highly drinkable if you dont think too hard about it. abundant in all the categories weiss beers are typically measured in: banana, clove, etc... it maintains a ’thickness’ on the palette which doesnt exist if you could chemically measure the viscosity. not the most challenging brew, but good as a session brew for repeated drinkings if necessary. RomanW70 (297), Providence, Rhode Island, USA Apr 25, 2008 On tap at Louie Fuller’s in Providence. Pours cloudy orange golf with a fluffy white head. Nose of bananas, citrus, spice, and bread. Finishes with a nice sweetness. I’m a Hefeweizen fan, and this is an excellent one. Tweety (336), Vancouver, Washington, USA Apr 25, 2008 Another classic German Weissbier.
