Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier

It had a VERY citrus taste, hazy cloudy yellow body, with a good amount of head.

Bottle. Pours yellow/orange with a fairly good head. Smells of orange, banana, and a hint of dough. Good light to medium body with a sweet flavor and finish with a bit of bitter for proper balance. Beer Club favorite for April 2008 tasting.

Hazy orange, and a grand wheat aroma. Refreshing flavours of banana, esters, bubblegum and coriander. It’s a fine hefe-weizen.

From the bottle, pours a hazy light orange with a thick foamy white head. Aroma is of clove and banana, and something else that I’m going to blame on the glass. Taste is smooth and there’s just a bit of bubbles on the tongue. Flavors of banana and some bready yeast make this a fine tasting beer. It’s also good on tap, as I recall.

Small head, banana and hints of orange in aroma. Very cloudy and dusty gold appearance. Smooth banana and sweet taste, followed by tart and lemon zest. Extremely smooth finish.

50cl bottle from Total Wine Tampa. Pours a cloudy dark golden with a one finger white head. Aroma: Lemon, flowers, citrus, grass and straw. Faint aroma of orange. Flavor: Slightly dry with flavors of bread, grasses, spices and fresh citrus. Hints of sweetness and perhaps caramel as well. Smooth, mild, lemony finish.

Bottle. Really nice beer for the style. Very Cloudy, light amber color, fragarent with Bananas and Lemons. Nice tart taste with a hint of pepper., not too much carbonation and thirst quenching.

500ml bottle. i tried this beer a couple of years ago. it was ok. so i tried it again with a fresh attitude. same, it’s ok. i’ve realized that i really don’t care for the banana molding hay after tastes of European Hefes. it just reminds me of of cleaning cow shit out of a barn in Oregon. it’s not bad, but it’s not that good either.
