| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Hazy yellow color topped with a thick off white head. Fruity, banana, vanilla flavor with a touch of spice in there. Mouthfeel is kind of thin though. Pretty much what I had expected. Light bodied and refreshing. Wulfstan (509), California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 10, 2008 This is definitely now one of my favourite hefe-weizens. It is hazy light amber with a very big off-white head that slowly shrinks. The aroma is at first grain and herbal hops rather more like a German pilsner-which is good to me-but thenthe classic German hefeweizen qualities take over, with banana, bubblegum, marshmallow, wheat, yet always with a grainy-hoppy, alcoholic lager quality mixed in, as well as an odd musty quality which slightly detracts. In taste, it is great, with lots of fruit, some bubblegum, good sweet-bitter presence and balance, a long, slightly alcoholic grain-banana finish. It’s not to soft, a complaint I ote have with wheat beers of various types. In the end, this is a great hefeweizen for me, combining the typical Geramn qualities for the style but more muted than usual with a non-wheat beer quality. hoplover406 (204), Crofton, Maryland, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 10, 2008 Wow, what a beer. Cloudy in appearance and a light fluffy head to boot! I was not a fan of the wheat ale until I tried this. Very very flavorful with hints of citrus and banana. It is refreshing enough to swig after mowing the lawn, and refined enough to intrigue the in-laws over slides of their trip to the Rockies. Must try! jkm (189), Australia
