roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 5, 2008 Pours a bright orange yellow cloudy color with a huge amount of froathy white head. Looks absolutely delicious! Aroma is doughy banana and a tad bit of lemon - pretty typical of hefes. Flavor very crisp and refreshing but without being watery and thin. Nice banana and subtle citric taste with a bit of the doughy yeastiness. Overall, excellent hefe. crowderm (275), Recklinghausen, Germany Apr 5, 2008 On tap. Very nice tawny golden color in the glass, with a standard huge hefe head. The aroma is mostly of citrus, with classic hefe spice in there too. The flavor is excellent - a bit more citrus than the standard hefeweizen, otherwise a pretty straightforward (but excellent) example of the style. Palate is a little thinner than would be ideal, but is still quite smooth. Very nice beer. bassbuckeye (81), Ohio, USA Apr 3, 2008 Updated: Apr 11, 2008Nice orange cloudy color... smells lightly like orange and banana... very refreshing taste hints of fruit banana and light spice.... very subtle beer I enjoyed it.....re-rate... had it on tap creamy bubble gum greatness I really like this my favorite Hefe... FatguyRacer (129), Crownsville, Maryland, USA Apr 2, 2008 Bottle. Smelled wonderful. Nice yeasty, bread smells. No hint of skunk at all. Nice clean citris taste with little tinge of pepper and bananas on the back side. A very complex hefe, realitve to what i’ve been drinking. I really like this hefe. Im glad I bought a sixer. Topnotch! bsierra (213), Vista, California, USA Apr 1, 2008 Pours a beautiful orangy hue with a bit of haziness. Nose is very nice with whisps of clove/ripe banana. Mouthfeel is light and clean. Taste is very nice with a spicy/malt alongside of the crispness of the wheat. The finish is perfect and leaves you totally wanting another, which I believe I’ll have! DTM (541), Winters, California, USA Apr 1, 2008 Bottle from Trader Joe’s in Fairfield, CA. Pours a hazy yellow with a large white head. Smells of bananas. Taste of bananas, other citurs flavor and a little bit of spice. I have to admit I was very surprised at the quality of this beer. Definately one I will have to drink again. rds (224), USA Mar 29, 2008 Updated: Aug 15, 2008Lovely orange body topped by a longlasting beige head, with wonderful citrus notes up front and a crisp finish. A real fine hefe-weissbeer. UnholyBrewing (448), Melbourne(Mulgrave), Australia Mar 28, 2008 Updated: Mar 18, 2009...had both the bottle, and draft varieties, but of course, draft is always better. The imported bottle is decent, but not the greatest. Nice spicy notes, and creamy head. Hints of orange, and nice malty wheat aroma. Flavor is there, and feels nice in the mouth, light and refreshing.
RR. Had this again recently, and was better than last time, I noticed more clove notes, so I’ll up the raiting.
