| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Feb 19, 2008 very cloudy, with cloud like thick head.
wheat dominates on nosing.
very nice wheat flavor, not overpowered by coriander or cloves/bannas/ bubble gum. very clean & balanced. for those who dont like the cotton-candied/buble-gummed weisse beers, this is killer shit. on draft it would rival any weisse beer out there. schneider edel & weihenstephaner only was in same stratosphere. Rich, banana flavor with just a hint of spice. Love to have this with a Brat and sauerkraut. Finish it off with a hunk of beer cheese (made from stale beer). Beautiful classic, hazy, golden pour. Robust citrus, yeast, spicy aroma. Medium body with citrus, clove, slight bananas, yeast and wheat. Pleasant aftertaste. jezmez68 (332), Chesterton, Indiana, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 15, 2008 Yep, this is THE hefeweizen. Smells of bananas, citrus and a little bubblegum. Taste is a little of bananas, wheat, and finishes clean. This is the standard. efrumtheidiot (190), Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 14, 2008 pours a cloudy amber with a white head. aroma is a bit sour, with some cookie dough, banana, some spice, yeast, and a tiny bit of citrus. taste is spice, clove, bitter banana, straw, bread, and grains. mid-bodied with a bitterish clovey finish. lightly prickly clean mouthfeel. watery, soapy lacing that drips pretty quickly down the side of the glass. not bad. inkubus27 (248), Highland, Indiana, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 14, 2008 This is the beer that started me on the path to craft beers. One of my favorites. Cloudy pour with the beautiful wheaty head. Aroma of banana’s. Taste is banana, spice, and just all around easy to drink. Franziskaner is a great beer to introduce to those that have been brainwashed into thinking bud, miller, and coors are the only beers on earth. chadcs (76), Westminster, South Carolina, USA
