Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier

Yep, this is THE hefeweizen. Smells of bananas, citrus and a little bubblegum. Taste is a little of bananas, wheat, and finishes clean. This is the standard.

pours a cloudy amber with a white head. aroma is a bit sour, with some cookie dough, banana, some spice, yeast, and a tiny bit of citrus. taste is spice, clove, bitter banana, straw, bread, and grains. mid-bodied with a bitterish clovey finish. lightly prickly clean mouthfeel. watery, soapy lacing that drips pretty quickly down the side of the glass. not bad.

This is the beer that started me on the path to craft beers. One of my favorites. Cloudy pour with the beautiful wheaty head. Aroma of banana’s. Taste is banana, spice, and just all around easy to drink. Franziskaner is a great beer to introduce to those that have been brainwashed into thinking bud, miller, and coors are the only beers on earth.

Cloudy Pour with a good citriusy yeast taste. Good overall Hefeweizen. Spaten has yet another winner with this one.

Very cloudy pour. Nice citrus like flavor (though not overwhelming). One of my very favorite beers.

Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a nice medium head and lacing. The nose is honey suckle and citrus and some nice spiciness comes through in the mouth. A great summer Hefewiezen.

Very drinkable heffe. A little carbonated. Creamy and fruitful. A thrist quencher. Would have liked to drink it all night but had to try a few more beers. Will definately add it to my ’regulars’.

Bottle. Tanks to Tjalve. Body is hazy golden and has a white head. Aroma and flavor is sweet banana and candy-like. Also some citrus and yeast. Little thin.
