Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier

solid hefe, there is a few better than this but it is by no means average.

Not my favorite style. . Medium head, cloudy as expected. Standard juicy-fruit aroma. Flavor is lightly malted, but mainly watery with slight hops. Should wait for summer, I suppose.

Hazy golden with a small white head. Clove and banana aroma. Sweet grainy taste with a bit of sourness and a dry finish. This could be the moment I was completely sold on Weissbier.

A fabulous hefe... really enjoyed this beer. Pours a gorgeous golden color with appropriate haze. The head on this one is perfect for a hefe... pure white, foamy and long-lasting. Aroma was clove and banana with that awesome touch of bubblegum-like notes. Rolls across your palate with malty sweetness. Truly a wonderful beer.

Pours a deep golden with large foamy head. Swirled the bottle at the end to get the last bit, which left a slight cloudy, but proper look. A very good looking beer, but use a hefe glass to get the full effect. Initial aroma of banana, giving way to some fruity malt. Flavor is fruity malt, with a hint of citrus. A very good hefe-weizen that’s pretty easy to locate. We paired this with the Brickskeller Carrot Ginger Curry Soup recipe from The Best of American Beer & Food and the match was delectable.

500ml bottle. Light cloudy orance, self-supporting head. Spicey aroma - hits towards zesty orange. Crisp refreshing mouthfeel, good carbonation. Soft light malts, sweet and slightly zingy. Caramel.

This seems to be the easiest German hefeweizen to find in my area and it is one of the better ones. It seems to taste fresher than most. Maybe it is brewed here?

Love this beer! Poured a deep gold with a cloudy appearance. This one went down very easily and had a nice banana flavored finish.
