The best Import @ $2.00, hands down. Good color. Slight sweet finish. A summer sipper.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a white medium sized head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is more bready than typical of the style. However, th flavor is more what you would expect. Clove and banana flavors are easily found but are somewhat muted. Tartness, fruitiness, and bitterness came late. This was a nice hefe and I love that style. However, in my opinion it was not exceptional and the high rating by others is a surprise.

Bottle. Fresh banana aroma. Hazy yellow colour with a thick white head. Very bubbly but not much taste at all.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with an enormous white head of tiny bubbles. Aroma of wheat and clove. Flavor of wheat and fruit/banana, but kind of soft. I would like a little more peppery spice. Not bad but not the best Hefe that I have ever had.

(Bottle) This was absolutely the best of the bottled imported German Hefeweizen that I have tried. Aroma is very balanced, subtle. Not sweet, not at all sour. A sort of muted wheat taste, with some complexity. Very enjoyable texture...crisp and clean, not heavy the way many wheat beers end up. Somewhat dry tasting. I really like it.

On tap @ Grand Central: Poured a hazy burnished gold with a smallish white head. Spicy aroma with cloves upfront not much banana. Reasonable Hefe, easy to drink with some peppery notes, quick dry finish.

Opaque gold appearance; impressive head; spicy and sweet on the tongue; thick body; wheat evident; not my favorite type of beer to begin with, but this is a good example of a Hefe.
