Feb 19, 2004 (Bottled) Nice, very murky yellow color, big foamy head. Strong yeasty, soapy, banana aroma. Yeasty, fruity (banana, pear) flavor. Sweetish at first, but finishes sour. Nicely balanced, soft palate. An excellent weizen, very good all-year round!

Jan 4, 2004 A cascading waterfall of bubbles form the huge slowly settling impenetrable head over a cloudy light orange beer. Classic banana aroma. The flavor is creamy and banana-dominant with an excellent spicy finish. Classic weizen ... the standard in type.

Cloudy golden orange, quite heavily carbonated, big stable rocky head.
Yesty/estery and clove flavors dominate, banana and vanilla in the background.
Medium to light body and a somewhat fizzy mouthfeel.
Not really a bad beer, but they try to brew a beer everybody on the whole world will like - and the lowest common denominator tastes just like that.

Jul 9, 2003 Updated: Jul 14, 2003Pale golden color with a creamy white head that left nice lacing. Spicy clove/wheat aroma. Nice crisp, refreshing taste of sweet bananas with a real quick, almost bitter aftertaste. This is a good one.

Jul 18, 2004 Nice gold color with a monster head. Aroma of wheat. Taste is just more wheat with some malt mixed in. Just a hint of yeast and fruit. It is what it is: a hefeweizen. Not too bad; a decent way to celebrate 400!
