Draught @ Papago

I believe that this is the best time of year for us “Beer Lovers”, well at least for this “Beer Fanatic”! The fall beers are coming out, Oktoberfest celebrations all over the place, and all these fine German beers I cherish so much in bottles magically appear on tap.

This marvel of the brewer’s art pours a deeply chill hazed golden amber with a nifty somewhat creamy head that is white in color, the lace a satin sheet on the glass. Nose is lemon like and crisp, hints of wheat; coriander with a smooth freshness that just over whelms the senses, start is semi-sweet, with a splendid wheat and malt profile that leads to the moderate top. Finish is deliciously hopped, delicately acidic, and pleasingly dry and one fine beer in my humble opinion.

Good looking, with tall head, funny monk on the label. Aroma is distinctive Weiss, without knocking you over with banana yeast. I just tried this back-to-back with Paulaner, and I’ve got to say that I like this better, except for the palate. Not as sour as many weiss, very grainy and not as yeasty.

Beautiful tall white head and a cloudy golden body. Aroma is yeast with some citrus and banana. Flavor is also yeasty with banana. A little bitter aftertaste. Soft palate.

Pint bottle. Appearance of a typical hefe: cloudy yellow-orange with a thick head. Very wheaty, banana-y dryness. Nice and refreshing for the summer.

Pours a cloudy golden with white head (consistant). Yeasty and fruity aroma. Crisp and refeshing taste which is balanced with a yeastyness and fruity flavors (bananas). Tingly refreshnig texture. Nice hefe weiss.

Bottle. Golden colour, small white head. Odd wheat like aroma, slightly citrusy. Some malt base in taste with a crispy mouthfeel and a little hoppiness at the end, but otherwise, pretty average really - enjoyable, but not something I would reach for again. Thanks for sharing jercraigs.

Bottle. Cloudy gold with a billowing white head. Standard hefeweizen of bananas, cloves and citrus. Flavour was of bananas and spice. Mouthfeel was smooth with a touch of graininess. Enjoyable.
