Very hazy golden colour with a nice white head. VERY strong aroma banana aroma with mixes of cloves and coriander seed. Fantastic look and smell! Medium-light bodied; Strong spicey (the two aformentioned notes as well as curacao) but very clean with yeast and wheat characteristics. Aftertaste very clean and refreshing. Overall, a great German wheat - really one to savour. I actually had this one (I just realised it) at the Frankfurt Airport (Lufthansa terminal) well before I was 21! I had this beer on draught at MacGregor's in Rochester, New York on 21-October-2003.

12oz bottle pours cloudy golden with a fluffy white head that stays and laces some on the sides of the glass. Aroma is citrus, some bannana, and a touch of clove. Flavor is much like the aroma. Somewhat more sour than the usual hefe.. Not in a bad kind of way though fairly pleasant. Palate is light and fluffy and very drinkable. Not bad at all.

Pours with a thick white head, with a little yeast on the bottom. Smells and tastes of clove. Very dry finish.

Picked up a few bottles for cultivating a yeast sample for a hefeweizen. Slightly cloudy, golden yellow. Large, fluffy head with long retention. Wheaty, citrus, malty in the nose. Crisp on the tongue, with straightforward wheat and bread. Mineral and banana notes in a medium finish.

Pours a hazy orange color, topped by a thick off white head. Aromas of clove, banana, and citrus waft from my glass. The taste is tar, acidic, and it has a soft banana finish. This beer is well carbonated, which contributes to a tingly sharp sensation in my mouth. This is quite good, and quite refreshing. Certainly not the most complex, but it is quite tasty and hits the spot perfectly on a warm day spent outside brewing beer. Quite fruity, with a bit of sweetness. This beer is light bodied, which helps it to go down easily. This is as good as it gets for warm weather/ in the sun drinking; smooth and thirst quenching.

This one was one of the first non-swill brews I ever bought. Bought it at the Kroger in College Station, TX back in ’94. I love this beer, not only for the nostalgia, but for the taste. This is a nice and sprigltly lil’ sippin’ brew that is to be savored. The monk on the label is funny looking, and that marketing tool has worked on me for over 10 years.

Gold Coloring. Big Frothy Head. Very good Hefe. Not Really Distinctive. Just Nice and Mellow...Could be Drank in Succession.

Bottle. Hazy pale golden, big fluffy white head. Very complex, spicy aroma, with yeast notes and fresh bananas, and with some subtle hops. Medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Very refreshing flavour with a pleasant acidity and some bitterness. Great hefeweissen.
