From a bottle at Yeoman’s Road Pub in Tampa. This is one of my favorite Hefeweizens. Pours a beautiful hazy golden color. Ample head and a hearty yeasty aroma. Tastes like liquid hay. Earthy and substantial tasting in the mouth. Extremely drinkable.

[bottle - Great European Beerfest 8, Sharp Edge Tavern - East Liberty, PA] Pours a very rich gold color with a decent white head that left nice lacing. Very faint citrus aroma, mostly lemon and orange with a hint of yeast. Initial taste is a citrus zest with a yeast and wheat mixture making up the body and a sweet aftertaste.

Draught. One finger dense creamy head. Unclear light orange/golden body. Initial aroma of ripe banana followed by scents of wheat, acidic fruits and spice. Fresh fruity and wheaty taste. Notes of yeast. Soft, refreshing and easy to drink. A top end Hefeweizen

Cloudy golden yellow, thick firm head, all appropriate for style. Mild, clean taste, smooth and refreshing with alot of carbonation. Not much flavor however, and not very complex. I detected a hint of a metallic taste.

Pours hazy orange with a large dense off-white head. The aroma has banana esters, rich wheat and light clove. Medium body that has somewhat sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with rich wheat, banana, clove and pepper. The finish has more pepperiness and spice, then turns water. This is an okay hefe that seems to be vastly overrated.

500ml bottle - Pours up a light, cloudy orange-yellow with a big head that soon fades to a thin, lingering froth. It smells of yeast and citrus. The flavor is sweet with quite noticeable citrus notes. The body is a little thin, but not bad. I didn’t detect very much hops. The finish is light and refreshing. This is a very tastey example of a hefeweizen.
