Friendly yeast aroma with a hint of orange lemon citrus. Beautiful carbonation in my three stooges glass, the whole brew appeared fluffy. Initial slight bitter bite, but no apparent bitter aftertaste on the finish.

Nice hazy gold color as is expected in a good Hefeweizen. Rich head and nice aroma of yeast, wheat and fruity banana. Smooth and filling. Very refreshing. Not the best, but a very good one.

I have encountered this beer a number of times throughout the years but generally in draft form. It is a quite pleasant draft. This time I sampled it from a 16.9 oz brown bottle. This beer poured a beautiful cloudy orange-golden color that whets the appetite with anticipation. The large white head has a slight orange tinge to it as well. There is a faint scent of orange peel. The scent is very pleasant but extremely faint. The flavor was very bready and yeasty. An orange peel flavor definitely shone through. A sweet yeasty aftertaste lingered. Overall a good hefeweizen - though a few still outshine it, you really can not go wrong with a Franzy.

500ml bottle. Spicy, citric aroma, quintessential German Hefe attributes of clove and banana along with background sweetish honey and wheat malt notes. Hazy, pale golden color with a rocky white head that fades to a fine cap. Flavor profile is sweet, bready and grainy to start with a hint of vanilla, becoming fruitier and featuring plenty of citric, acidic lemon thereafter, finishing clean with a refreshing, bitter quality. Light and fluffy on the palate with a light-medium body. Highly drinkable and a classic interpretation of the style.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a fluffy white head. Light aroma of cloves and yeast, with just a touch of banana. Light, soft and somewhat watery body with moderate carbonation. Sweet taste of honey and fruit that finishes just a little sour. No idea how long this one has been on the shelf, but still a nice beer.

1/4 draught: Huge creamy white head on a cloudy pale/dark amber liquid. Fruits, yeast, banana, cloves! Great aroma! Lovely creamy mouthfeel, yeasty malty wheat taste with hints of vanilla/banana in the aftertaste. Very well balanced, hops dont stand out at all.

On tap at Green Dragon in PDX--Poured a very hazy, glowing golden orange with a shade of mustard, Big banana clove nose typical of style smelled from across the long bar. Spicy yeast flavors. Slightly tangy and acidic, yet fruity. Finished on the thin side, but very warming. A cery nice beer!
