Pours a nice murky yellow gold, with a moderate whitish head that dies to a decent layer, laces ok, soapy. Aromas are flaked white wheat, banana fruit esters, a light touch of lemon, and a soothing sweetness. Initial is fruity banana, a light bitterness, flaked white wheat sweetness with the typical bitterness on the backend. Cereal malts, a touch of lemon, and a nice overall drinkability, despite the cliche of that term. Banana esters come ona bit stronger into the body. Pretty solid German Hefe. Finish leaves subtle sweetness, fruity banana, and a light bitterness. Good. Goodgrief (1152), Middletown, Delaware, USA

Anyway, being the least expensive of the readily available German hefe’s, I wasn’t expecting this to be all that...and I was pleasantly surprised. Straw color, HUGE head and lacing. Absolutely beautiful. Sweet bubblegum smell with wheaty aspects. The flavor was also a tad sweeter than the "other" hefe’s, more bubblegum, less clove. Mouthfeel was extremely smooth...coulda convinced me my bottle came from a tap. Maybe a little less full in flavor, but if drinkability were a factor, I’d give it a 10. Delicious! | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 12, 2004 Cloudy light brown beer witha huge off white head. Weak spicy, roasted caramel and hop aroma. The taste is light bitter with a dry aftertaste. A very nice thirst quencher but not much of a taste. All in all a nice beer on a warm summer's day. Dalle (1146), Skørping, Denmark

Medium body. Taste; sweet (wheaty!), banana, little spicy, little bitter/metallic finish. It does me head in. carruthm (1141), Seattle, Washington, USA

Being that my girlfriend is out of town, I think one of her friends was trying to pick me up. She was buying me this beer one after another, seriously forcing me to drink them; but I’m a trustworthy lad, I went home alone!
Poured with a pale copper body and a thick creamy white head. The aroma was tart with lemon, and yeast. Flavor was citric and big notes of clove and banana. The palate is oily and the finish is tart, crisp, citric and dry. My head hurts, and I need a nap. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA
