Pour a cloudy orange/amber with a big white head. Aroma of yeast and malt with hints of citrus and bananas. A little spicy taste with hints of cirtus and a malty taste. Smooth aftertaste with some bitterness.

Had this after the dunkel, and this one has more pronounced hefe aromas and flavors, yet I rate it lower than the Franziskaner dunkel weiss because of less complexity in flavor and less balance. Still, that’s like saying a Toyota Camry is not quite as good of a car as a Honda Accord.

Head is initially huge, frothy, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (bread, cookie), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), trace hops (flowers), with light notes of bubble gum and clove, hint of plastic. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A somewhat-less-estery-than-most and rather commercial example, not as clean or interesting as better hefeweizen. Vaguely artificial, some off notes as well. Not very good.

Great weissbier, with proper cloudy-yellow body, nice head and surprisingly complex nose and flavor; many fruits there, as well as a touch of allspice & coriander. At the end, its a bit too hoppy and bitter for the style, but still a top 5 contender.

Mostly lasting nice white head. Wonderfull yeasty aroma, very hoppy, moderate flavour, average finish, soft carbonated. A good beer but then it was supposed to be!
