Still, that’s like saying a Toyota Camry is not quite as good of a car as a Honda Accord. Lubiere (4529), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Mar 10, 2002 Updated: Sep 10, 2004Head is initially huge, frothy, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (bread, cookie), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), trace hops (flowers), with light notes of bubble gum and clove, hint of plastic. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A somewhat-less-estery-than-most and rather commercial example, not as clean or interesting as better hefeweizen. Vaguely artificial, some off notes as well. Not very good. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

At the end, its a bit too hoppy and bitter for the style, but still a top 5 contender. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic
