Sep 6, 2006 Aroma of yeast and citrus. Hazy light orange color with bubbly white head. Yeast, light malt and some citrus - arguably lemon. Quite tastey.

Jan 5, 2004 A great representation of the style. Nice and murky light amber-gold color. A little band-aid/ plastic aroma with nice graprfruit notes. The flavor is full and as Braudog says, definitely has a strong banana flavor.Mine poured with a quickly dissapating head.

Jun 8, 2003 Hazy yellow with a good head and very good lacing, thin-bodied. Leather yeast and grapefruit aroma, could detect some spices and a very faint hint of banana, more mild aroma than some other hefes. Taste is spicy and wheaty, the mouthfeel is fizzy but dry. Their dunkel is better, overall an drinkable hefe, but some on the market are better.

Mar 6, 2007 Keg was a clowdy yellow, where as bottle more orangy, with a nice fresh citrus nose. its a fairly typical wheat beer.

Feb 18, 2003 The Franziskaner brewery can trace its roots back to 1363, over a 100 years before Columbus bumped into a large rock he called America. That's a long time. A very long time. Weisbeer has been produced in Germany since 1520, despite breaking the Purity Law. That's only 28 years after the discovery of America. That's also a very long time. Gee. What else can I say?

Jan 29, 2006 Bottle. White and long lasting head, of course, one should almost say. Golden unclear body. Nice and sweet banana lemon aroma. The added yeast in the bottle makes it much better in comparison with the Kristallklar version. The flavor is swet banana caramel and a bit of carbonation making the bear fresh to drink.

Jun 14, 2006 On tap at The Nomad. Poured a hazy medium golden with a thick cap of whitish head.. looked very nice. Nose found the usual suspects... clovey/banana-ey wheat, cereal malts, and hints of lemon. Smooth caramel and cereal malty middle surrounded by banana and cloves with lemon highlights. Just shy of medium-bodied and somewhat grainy. Quite refreshing.

Nov 17, 2004 Cloves, banana from yeast. Lemon in there. Above average for style. Malt sweetness aftertaste. Less carbonation would work .
