Jul 30, 2009 On draught at the Lazy Boy Saloon. Unfortunately, this was served in a shaker. Still, it had a voluptuous head with a strong, spicy nose (hints of citrus and even banana). Perfect balance of wheat and other flavours. I can see why this is a standard for the style.

Sep 13, 2009 One of the best hefeweizen beers out there. The banana and clove flavors are much more bold and stand out more than a typical hefeweizen.

Nov 30, 2007 A fabulous hefe... really enjoyed this beer. Pours a gorgeous golden color with appropriate haze. The head on this one is perfect for a hefe... pure white, foamy and long-lasting. Aroma was clove and banana with that awesome touch of bubblegum-like notes. Rolls across your palate with malty sweetness. Truly a wonderful beer.

Feb 14, 2009 My favorite German Hefe. Good blend of spice and wonderful taste make this one what its all about. Great look, cloudy, and bright. Wonderful feel and not long taste. Crisp. Great brew.

Dec 15, 2007 One of the best Hefe-Weiss out there. Bottled. Poured into a Dortmunder glass just for the heluvit. Formed an outrageous rocky, fluffy head, which brought oohs-and-aahs from others present. Underneath said head is a delicious, light, fruity brew. Slight banana, lemon, and grassy(?) flavors balance well with the overall wheatiness. A fine beer with nice packaging and presents well. Want to impress average, crap-beer drinkers? Introduce them to real beer? Start with this one. It is not so hearty as to offend a limited imagination, but has it where it counts.

Dec 27, 2007 12 oz bottle. Nice golden color. Very "wheaty" with "banana-like" taste from the wheat and the yeast. This is what hefeweissen should taste like.

Jun 22, 2008 One of my favorite wheat beers. Light in color, clean yeast flavor with a hint of sweetness. This is a beer I will buy again and again.
