Yep, this is THE hefeweizen. Smells of bananas, citrus and a little bubblegum. Taste is a little of bananas, wheat, and finishes clean. This is the standard.

Excellent aroma, complex taste. One of the best German wheats. Drank this one last year in Germany, but now it’s also sold in my local supermarket for only 89 eurocents for half a liter. This is going to be a nice summer...

Another great wheat from Spaten. These guys do a great job. Even better on draft!

I’ve had this beer from a bottle and on tap from two different places, one being a German restaurant and the other being an English-style pub called ’The Fox and the Hound’ located in Naperville, Illinois. Let me tell you, the stuff they serve on tap at the English Pub is one of the top two beers in the world I’ve ever tasted. (The other being Weinanstephaner on tap at another German restaurant called ’The Schnitzel Platz’ located in Glendale Heights Illinois. Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse is good in a bottle but really great if you’re ever around the Naperville, IL area.

Easy to drink, interesting flavors without a lot of bitterness. Very good.

12oz Bottle: Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a head that dissapears rather quickly. Fruity smell, somewhat like bananas. Fairly smooth taste, with a surprising bite far an aftertaste. Overall a very good Weissbier.
