For such an inexpensive hefe-weizen, I am very impressed. Nice rose-water presence. Aftertaste is rather dull. But an excellent beer nonetheless. Beloved Beer (278), California, USA

Sweet and wheaty. Definently one of the best. ethanol (4), Tampa, Florida, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 29, 2002 Splendid aroma, great cloudy chill-haze, abundant and lasting head with moderate lacing. This beer does come off as a little watery, but that makes this beer very drinkable and the excellent carbonation makes up for it. I have had many 6 packs of this beer and have et to grow tired of it. kingstratego (82), Grävenwiesbach, Germany

Flavor is heavy clove, a little banana. This is obviously fermented on the cooler side, since this yeast strain gives clove when cold and banana when warm. Reminds me a lot of ROOT BEER. Just the right amount of banana sweetness. Huge puffy head, looks just like the picture. Has the right mouthfeel, carbonates/lively but not too fizzy. I am biased towards weizens and this is a better example, so I give it high marks. MaxPower (961), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Flavors of wheat, banana-clove yeasty flavor. Light body clean and crisp, very refreshing another one of my favorites, always good. Inveigler (371), Ferndale, Michigan, USA

Everything one looks for in a wheat: cloudy yeast driven appearance, clove and bannana in abundance, great pillowy white head. This would be the beer to have a non-micro/import drinker try to lead him on the road to quality brew appreciation. Wonderful for the summer, but enough body for the winter too. A fanatastic example of this style.
