Pungent aroma of banana and cloves, vanilla and toffee. Quite sweet. Very tasty and refreshing, slightly bitter and quite sour flavour with hints of bubbl egum, wheat. Smooth full palate, slightly oily. All together an excellent hefe, tasty and refreshing. Recommended. strings (361), Sydney, Australia

Best of the Franziskaners... confused as to why I hadn’t yet tried this one, but my rating say i haven’t, so there you go. Thought it just tasted better on tap than bottled, but i must have just been thinking of the kristall. Anyways, a damn fine wheat beer. alcamp99 (32), Dallas, Texas, USA

Hint of spice is distintive. Smooth and full with a clean finish. Offers (to me) a perfect blend between the citrus and yeast notes. Some subtle lemon or banana flavors going on too. Exceptional drinkability and near perfect balence. A very inviting summer beer that is also very refreshing. The quintessential germanic hefeweizen. jredmond (1039), New Jersey, USA

Poured an orange color with a little head. The flavor was mostly wheat and yeast - no hops - a light beer, said malt liquor on the label..?
